Glendale - This beautiful town is set in the northern portion of Long Valley and sits at the mouth of Glendale Canyon. A very quiet town with beautiful scenery in every direction. The brilliant Fall colors that envelope this town, and continues up Glendale Canyon, will take your breath away. Each turn you make, more breathtaking scenery, and the colors intensify, seeming to almost be fluorescent. It is also home to the annual Apple Festival held every September.

Mt. Carmel - This quiet little town is home to "The Old Rock Church." A beautiful stone building that was initially built in 1890, but burned, in part, in 1919 and then was rebuilt in 1923. This building has considerable local historical significance, being the only remaining public building in the little town. You can stop in, May - September, and receive visitor information on the surrounding area. Green fields of alfalfa are the town’s "backyard," and they appear to dance with even the smallest breeze, and seem to be inviting you to run through them, barefoot, leaving your cares behind!
Because of it’s amazing vistas and serenity, Mt. Carmel became the summer home and studio of the famed Western Artist Maynard Dixon. Tours are available May - October by appointment only. (435)648-2653
